How do I select a channel?

There are three ways to search for a particular channel.

(1) Press the 'TV Guide' button on the remote control to access the programming categories then press 'OK' to choose your channel.

(2) You can insert the three-digit number of your channel at any time to skip straight to it.

(3) Use the 'channel up and down' keys on your remote control to scan through all available channels.

I accidentally lost the main menu on a channel. How do I get this back?

Each channel on Tiscali TV has its own main menu - the Channel Menu. To show the Channel Menu, just press the menu button on the remote control (this is located just above the arrow keys on the right hand side of the remote). Press the menu button a second time to hide the menu.

I'm watching a broadcast channel. How can I see what's on later?

In broadcast channels, the main menu offers information about forthcoming programmes over the next three days. Simply press the menu button on the remote control to see what's on later.

Can I see what's on other channels without having to flick through them all?

With Tiscali TV, you can browse programme options across all our channels quickly and easily. To do this, bring up the current channel's main menu by pressing the menu key on the remote control. You can now use the left and right arrow keys on the remote control to look at each channel's main menu in turn.

I was browsing through a number of programme lists in an on-demand channel and made a 'wrong turn'. How can I get back to the previous list?

If you want to return to a previous list at any time, just press the 'stepback' button on the remote control.

Sometimes when I'm watching promotions on-screen, there's an option to 'Select Now'. What does this mean?

On many of the on-demand TV or movie channels, such as C1, you will see a series of promotions displayed behind the channel's main menu and lists. If you wish to view any featured on-demand programme or series, simply press the green button on the remote control when the promotion is shown.

How do I find out the name of the programme I'm watching?

You can find out the name of the programme you are watching by pressing the 'OK' button on your remote control at any time. In broadcast channels, this will also show you what programme is being shown next on the channel.

How do I know if a C1 programme is new or going to end soon?

In C1, new programmes are highlighted in the 'NEW'category of the C1 electronic programme guide (EPG).  C1 also has a 'LAST CHANCE’ category in its EPG each month, detailing exactly when certain series will end.

What is MyTV all about?

MyTV lets you create your own list of favourite channels, programmes and music videos.  You can also use MyTV to manage programme reminders and view your current rentals. .

What does the little 'R' next to some programmes on BBC1 and ITV1 etc. stand for?

The little 'R' means that this progamme is available on the Tiscali TV Replay service.

No, you can't save favourites from the Minimote, only from the adult remote control.

Can I record on-demand programmes on Tiscali TV?

We are required to apply copywrite protection to movies and music videos, but you can record other content as normal.
