How do I access my 'Favourites'?
To view something in 'Favourites', press 'my button' on the remote control at any time. All your 'Favourites' lists will be displayed.
How can I delete something from my Favourites lists?
Highlight the item to be deleted from your Favourites list, then press the coloured button indicated on the special function bar at the foot of the screen to delete the programme. Remember, if you do not access your Favourites for 28 days, they will be automatically deleted.
Sometimes when I'm watching Tiscali TV I'm asked for my PIN to access programmes. Why? And what is my PIN?
We ask you for your PIN (Personal Identification Number) so you have more control over what TV your children see, so you can create and access 'your Favourites', or to allow you to purchase movies and other products. Your PIN was given to you with your welcome letter. Please don't hesitate to call our Customer Care team on 0845 678 3333 (open between 8am-10pm, Monday to Friday and 8am-9pm Saturday and Sunday) if you need more information.
Can I store programmes on my set top box?
No, everything is stored on the Tiscali TV servers, giving access to over 1,000 movies, 4,000 music videos and 500 hours of TV programmes.
Can I have Tiscali TV on more than one TV?
If you have a second line you can pay for a second Tiscali TV service. The Tiscali TV set top box does have 2 SCART sockets. The second one is designed for your VCR or DVD recorder, but you can connect this to a second television. You will only be able to watch the same programme on both televisions.
How can I control what my children watch?
With PIN protection
Tiscali TV gives each member of the household a unique PIN (or personal identification number). All of our video on-demand shows are specially rated to ensure that kids cannot access unsuitable programming. Children’s PINs are set according to their age, therefore restricting them to watch certain programmes.
With the MINIMOTE
Our unique Minimote is a remote control just for kids and comes with the Kids TV Pack. It is designed to protect your children from viewing unsuitable shows as it’s pre-programmed only lest them watch our kids’ channels.
How do I rent a movie?
Simply press the Film button on your remote and select the ‘view VOD’ icon. You can then select your chosen movie from the channel menu, view further details or watch a free trailer, as well as being able to add the film to your favourites. Press Stepback to return to the previous menu.
To purchase a film press OK. You can watch a pay-per-rental film as many times as you want within a 24 hour rental period.
