Music Streaming

The Roku SoundBridge M1000 music player makes it possible to play music files on your hi-fi or powered speakers that are stored on your PC or Mac. They can be played in any room in your home either by a wired Ethernet connection or via a wireless card or Ethernet bridge (requires a wireless router).

WMA, MP3, AAC, AIFF and WAV music formats are supported and it's network ready and it will also automatically detect your iTunes music library on your PC. (Your computer must be turned on with iTunes or Windows Media Player 10 and be running at the same time you are using SoundBridge.) In addition you can listen to a variety of internet radio stations, without turning on your computer.

Homechoice has selected the Roku M1000 because it has the following benefits -

While the SoundBridge will automatically detect your iTunes music library on your PC, please be aware that it will not stream secured AAC files purchased from the Apple Music Store as Apple does not currently allow streaming of files downloaded from their music store to third party devices.

Connected Home

If you've ever worried about losing all your documents, photos or music that you have saved on the hard drive of your PC (or Mac), then this Maxtor 200GB network drive is for you. As well as providing a secure place to back up your files it also ensures you won't run out of space on your hard drive if you want to store large amounts of images, music and movies.

Set up is easy and the Homechoice engineer will install it for you. It simply plugs into your wireless router and the quick start CD does the rest. Files are then reorganised using drag and drop functionality.

In addition the drive allows you to attach a USB printer, so it's available to every PC connected to your network. You no longer have to move documents from one machine to another to print them as every PC can use the same printer! Please note that most multi-function printers (copier/scanner/printer combo) are not supported by this device.
