What equipment is supplied by Tiscali for a wireless internet connection?
The Tiscali Wireless internet Connection kit contains the following items: A router: This is is connected (by a cable) to the set-top-box to distribute the Tiscali broadband internet connection to a number of computers.
For a wireless connection, the router converts the signal to a radio frequency that the supplied adapter can receive.
Tiscali currently supplies a NETGEAR Wireless Router WGR614.A wireless adapter: In order to send, receive and interpret the wireless signal, every PC to be connected wirelessly requires an adapter. The adapter plugs into a USB port on the PC. Tiscali currently supplies a NETGEAR Wireless USB Adapter WG111.
Please note that some computers have an integrated wireless adapter.A wired adapter: This allows an Ethernet cable to plug into a USB port on the PC. The adapter is required only if no Ethernet port is available. Tiscali will supply a wired adapter if a wireless connection is not possible.
