Frequently Asked Questions
Are wireless connections a health hazard?
Any potential health hazards from the microwave signals of wireless connections have not been scientifically validated. Using a wireless connection is likely to be much safer than using a cell phone, because a typical home wireless connection transmits radio signals in roughly the same frequency range as microwave ovens.
However, the wireless connection transmits at a very low power (100 to 1000 times less) and signals are sent intermittently, therefore the cumulative exposure to microwave radiation from a wireless connection remains much less than from other radio frequency devices.
